How To Register
You can apply to join Bassetlaw HomeFinder by registering your login details and making a social housing application.
1. Click Register in the top-right corner.
2. Enter your National Insurance Number and personal details.
3. Enter a Memorable Date and Password. You will use these to log in to your HomeFinder Account.
4. Make a note of your Login Reference.
5. In My Account, click Apply to Bassetlaw HomeFinder.
You can find the link to apply by clicking My to do list.
Submitting documents electronically
You can upload documents while completing your application and through your HomeFinder Account.
You do not have to send us documents electronically. Documents can be submitted by email to housing.registration@bassetlaw.gov.uk, by bringing them to our Worksop or Retford offices, or by sending copies to us by post.
1. On the Required documents page, click Browse for files. This will open a folder for you to select documents you wish to upload.
2. After you have completed your application, in My Account, click Upload / Review documents.
3. You can view a list of documents already uploaded to your application on the Upload / Review documents page.
What happens next?
Once you have submitted your Bassetlaw HomeFinder application, your details will be checked by the Housing Registrations Team, who will contact you to request the documents you need to provide.
All applicants must provide the following documents:
• ID for each joint applicant
• Proof of current address for each applicant
• Proof of National Insurance Number for each applicant
We may request other documents from you on a case-by-case basis.

If we request documents from you that are not provided within 14 days of date of request, your application will be cancelled.
If you are an Owner Occupier making an application, you will need to provide further documentation. Please see the Owner Occupiers page for more information.
If you wish to apply for medical priority, you will need to complete a Medical Form. Please see our Medical page for more information.
Your HomeFinder application will be assessed within 14 days of you providing all of your required documents. You will receive a letter or email from Bassetlaw HomeFinder that confirms your Band and what types of properties you are eligible to bid for.
